Autumn Richardson
In the white world
lives are depressions in a surface crust
scents pressed into the river’s pelt.
They pull towards the black
scrawl of shoreline trees
where shapes, movements
become undergrowth
fold into needled darkness.
Autumn Richardson is a Canadian poet and musician currently living in Cumbria, England. She is the co-founder of Corbel Stone Press, an artist-run press publishing poetry, music and art created in response to landscape, folklore, ecology, and history. Some recent publications include Wolf Notes and Field Notes (Volume I) (in collaboration with writer/composer Richard Skelton) and a micro-collection of poems, Crossing the Interior, released in Spring 2012. She was recently published in Orbis Literary Journal and Earthlines Magazine.
